Lifestyle Properties Flying Off The Shelf

By Avi Khan

Acreage properties are currently booming in this unprecedented market. The buyers are out in force looking for lifestyle blocks with room to move!

With the number of pre-approved buyers in the South East Queensland market looking to upsize and space out – the speed at which acreage properties are selling is phenomenal.

Principal of Ray White Marsden Avi Khan said, “As the market speeds up across the Logan Region, buyers are having to compete for lifestyle blocks.”

In a recent twilight acreage open home, Brooke Colledge, Ray White Marsden’s leading acreage specialist said, “We had over 12 groups through a weekday open – even amongst a loud and looming summer storm.” This stunning 4-bedroom home on a 1-acre block went under contract within the week after multiple offers.

“With closely-held acreage properties showing such strong sales ‘a lot of our current sellers are taking advantage of the market’. After years of loving the acreage life, they’re either moving onto smaller blocks or looking for a lifestyle change.”

With the past year of isolation and the ins-and-outs of the Covid journey, a lot of buyers are looking to upsize, whether for land for their animals such as horses or simply for somewhere to tinker in a decent shed.

Our properties in areas such as Jimboomba, Cedar Vale, Cedar Grove, and even as far as Tamborine and Veresdale Scrub are all going under contract within the first week and all with multiple offers presented.

Brooke Colledge said, “It’s been an honour to open these beautiful homes to the buyers knowing that we will achieve great results for our owners. On the other hand, we understand the struggle for the buyers missing out and are doing everything we can to help them find their dream homes.”
