Demand For Renovators Reaches Fever Pitch

By Avi Khan

The Logan property market is humming and with that the demand for renovation homes are through the roof (pun intended). Buyers are being priced out of established homes and are turning to entry-level properties that meet their budget.

With the number of pre-approved buyers in the Logan market looking to buy – the rate of properties being listed as Auction has also gone up.

Yesterday morning two properties were auctioned at our in-room auction event at Barklya Place Marsden. One of which was what we call “a renovators dream”, and it was unsurprisingly a popular one.

15 Mahonia Street, Crestmead sold under the hammer after 15 bids with marketing agent Cory Boyd. Bernadette, the successful purchaser, was ready and excited to get the work started. “It was really about the location. We wanted a renovator but on a great street!”

Avi Khan – Principal of Ray White Marsden said as the market for sale speeds up we’re seeing more and more auctions presented in our area. This coming weekend another property will go under the hammer through the Ray White Marsden Office – 54 Birch Street Marsden with marketing agent Rebecca Cuderman.

Another renovator’s dream – this property being marketed as “the aviary” after years boarded up and pigeons making it their home. The property has no bathrooms or kitchen after a renovation took a not-so-short 7-year hiatus.

“Our team takes enormous pride in presenting homes to market, Auction is a great way for our team to get excellent exposure and ensure our clients achieve their property goals,” Mr. Khan said.
